Who We Are

We are a Christ-based nonprofit organization dedicated to guiding men on backcountry expeditions that aim to build character, faith, and outdoor skills. We welcome men regardless of religious/irreligious background who are seeking to discover more about the purpose and plan for their life through open discussions about faith, truth, morality, and God. By unplugging from the noise of digital society, we aim to connect with the beauty and rawness of creation.

CANOE EXPEDITIONS

Backpacking with a group of guys will build a level of camaraderie that other people will not be able to understand unless they do it. Intentionally separating yourself from the business of life, pushing yourself to be okay with being uncomfortable, actively limiting distractions, and having group time to study and pray, really pressed me to realign priorities when I returned to everyday life. If you are living life or practicing faith monotonously, I would challenge you to plan a trip like this.

This was my first expedition and I loved it. It was a 5 day trip through the Boundary Waters which is relatively rugged for me, involving canoeing and various levels of hiking. I’m used to camping in campgrounds with bathrooms and showers close by, but this was still truly a good experience. Our team (about 8 guys) was fed well physically and spiritually, and we were safe throughout the adventure. I learned so much and would certainly recommend this experience to a friend!

There was a last-minute opening for me to join the backpacking/canoeing trip at the boundary waters in Minnesota, and luckily, I was able to make the time for it. Tom and the rest of the crew made this last-minute trip very seamless for me, their outdoors experience proved extremely helpful. Throughout the trip I created bonds with those I was with, grew in my faith, and stepped out of comfortability. This is a trip I'll remember for a lifetime and am extremely grateful for.
